Our Story
Macau Nutrition was founded in Macau in 2013 with a simple mission: to make the world's best sports supplements accessible to Macau's fitness enthusiasts and athletes at fair prices.
Over more than a decade we have grown from a single specialist shop into three stores, 30 carefully chosen brands, and an online store serving all of Macau. Every product is imported through officially authorised channels from top brands in the USA, EU and worldwide, with a supply chain we can trace.
Today we run three stores across Macau — Patane (Rua de João de Araújo), Hak Sa Wan (Estrada da Areia Preta), and Taipa (Rua de Viseu) — and serve the whole territory through our online store and mobile app with fast local delivery. Our team consists of fitness-passionate professionals with deep product knowledge, committed to delivering the most attentive and expert service to every customer.

In this business, what a shop refuses to stock says more than what it sells. These four standards have governed what we buy since we opened in 2013.
Chosen on Quality, Never on Margin
In this industry the best shelf space usually goes to whichever brand pays the retailer most, not to the product that performs best. We buy in the opposite order: formula, effective dosing, and a brand's batch-to-batch track record come first, and margin is the last question we ask — which means we pass on products we could make more money on.
No Amino-Spiked Protein, Ever
Amino spiking is when a manufacturer adds cheap free-form amino acids such as glycine or taurine so that nitrogen-based lab tests read higher than the actual protein content. We read the ingredient panel and any available test data before a product reaches our shelves, and a formula built on that trick does not get stocked.
The other 7g is glycine and taurine — cheap free-form aminos that pass the nitrogen test and do nothing for muscle protein synthesis. (Illustrative figures.)
Temperature-Controlled Warehouse
Macau runs hot and humid for months at a stretch — conditions that clump whey protein, cake creatine and pre-workout, degrade vitamins and probiotics, and oxidise fish oil. Our warehouse is temperature- and humidity-controlled, and store stock is kept out of direct sunlight and damp. The goal is simple: the supplement you open at home should be in the condition it left the factory in.
Official, Approved Distribution
We hold official approved-distributor status with many of the sports nutrition brands Macau shoppers ask for most, buying direct from the manufacturer or its appointed distributor with no third party in between. Stock enters Macau through formal import channels with intact batch codes and expiry dates. We do not touch grey-market or parallel-import goods: the storage conditions are unknowable and there is no one to hold accountable.
